Apple has today released OS X El Capitan 10.11.4, bringing with it a number of bug fixes and under-the-hood improvements.
The main outward-facing changes that we are aware of in OS X 10.11.4 are Live Photos support in Messages; the ability to password protect notes in the Notes app; and an option to import notes from Evernote.
At the time of posting we are only aware of one accessibility-related change in this release. This is a minor improvement to the App Store, where VoiceOver could get caught in what’s been described to us as a “speech loop”. However, with other VoiceOver issues present in the App Store, it’s unclear as to exactly what this specific issue was and to notice any overall improvement in performance in this area of OS X. However, it is also worth noting that we did not identify any new accessibility bugs in this release.
As we always stress, it is impossible for us to test all applications and use cases. So, it is entirely possible that we have overlooked some changes, regressions or improvements. With this in mind, we would greatly appreciate your help in ensuring that the information on this page is as complete and accurate as possible.
