Accessibility Comments

Overall, it's one of the simplest Facebook app that I have tried so far, as this is based off of MenuTab for Facebook. The developer have decided to move over to go for Facebook it seems, as this also has a same developer name. As far as VoiceOver usability goes, the app is fully accessible, though there are two buttons that are not labeled, but as long as the help tag is enabled it's easy to deal with. Also, the fact that you have ability to switch between mobile and desktop version, with iPhone like mobile interface is easy to get use to.

The app is fully accessible with VoiceOver, but the interface could be easier to navigate and use.

i just got this app and it seems great. I am however finding some issues when i close out of the window that has all of the facebook content wile leaving the app still running in the background, it will come back to the forground once i press the down arrow. I have not been able to fix this through looking at the preferences. It looks good so far. The first unlabeled button seemed to put me in to a state where i could not reopen the apps interface. The only way to fix this issue is to keep hitting command-o a bunch of times until the interface briefly opens and navigate to that first unlabeled button and press it.
Hope someone might beable to help me with how to fix this down arrow problem. I really like this app so far and would hate to have to give it up just because of a little thing like that.

I had this problem, but fixed after tweaking some settings. It seems like when it says switched on switch view it's technically switched off. You could try disabling Keep tab above other apps to on. The on position turns the setting off while off button turns that feature on. At first it confused me a bit, but hope that the developer will soon fix this bug, along with other unlabeled buttons.

Tajeubg a quick look at the app it looks pretty good to use. Although and I might have missed it, I wish there were a keystroke to access the app, but again I could have missed it.

Take care and happy Friday.

I am A new Mac user. I have only used Face Book on my iPhone, not on my Mac yet. Do you think this app would be easy to use for someone who is new to the Mac like me? Or should I just stick with using Face Book on my iPhone like I have been doing? Thank you.

I fthink you will be fine. My trainer encouraged me to play with the mac and learn as much as I could in the real environment, that is, use it! hope that helps.

Hello all,
Is this app easy to log out of, and log back into? I don't like to stay logged into my facebook account on my computer. Thank you.

The keystroke for going back into the app is control F. I think you can just click log out, somewhere on the app. I am not sure, as the app keeps me logged in.

Control f does nothing for me, and the app is running. As for logging out of the app, I believe there is a way of doing it, but I often times forget about it, so don't worry and stay logged in to your facebook account.

Take care.

Ok. This app is confusing as all get out.
I say that because when I set the preferences to the way I want them to be set, then press VO space on close, then cmd-q, then see if the ap takes those settings, They go right back to their defaults. Also, I notice after Go for Facebook opens, I have to go into the menu extras and press VO left arrow until I get to GFFB. Then press VO shift space and that brings it up. But then I have to press ctrl-option f1 f1 and go into the system notifications, and open that twice by pressing enter. At which time, it works. Is their an easier way to fix all of this since their hasn't been an update to this ap?

I just got this app earlier this month. I've been searching for apps that might help me do my job better, or at least give me a bit more work here at home. This app just might fit the bill, if anybody at my job can ever figure out if I'm still an admin of our FB page, lol! But this app seems pretty good and you cannot beat the price. Facebook just seems to be more or less a moving target though for users of AT and perhaps others too. I don't know how I feel about the fact that apps for it seem to be tied to the web interface. Having said that, this app installed right away when I clicked the appropriate button in the app store. I went to my Applications folder and launched it, and was able to log into my own FB account. The interface seems very clean. I do have one minor complaint though about the app. The button to switch between the desktop and mobile views of FB could perhaps better indicate its status. But I'm able to figure that out with a bit of navigating around, since I've been on Fb now for several years. I'm updating this reply because twice now, I've gotten some kind of inaccessible survey pop-up. A couple weeks ago when I launched the app I got a pop-up which contained one of those user satisfaction surveys. I've gotten a few of these before elsewhere on the Internet, and have had no problems completing and submitting them. Not this one though. I clicked on the button to go to the survey, but all VoiceOver and Chromevox Classic read to me was a random set of numbers and dashes. I did, however, see a button for taking the survey later and clicked it. The survey closed, and didn't reappear until about 2 weeks ago. At that time I didn't even see that button to close out of the survey. So I just quit the app entirely and removed it from my system.
