Device(s) App Was Tested On
This app was not accessible at all initially, however the developer has been very receptive to feedback and has now made all of his apps accessible to Voiceover. They include Learn That Play, a music looper that supports Apple Music streaming,
Learn That Remix, a high quality pitch and tempo changer, and Ticker, a metrinome. Expect this app to continue to improve. There is no Apple Watch App as far as I know, however you can record using the microphone on the watch. The app respects your audio settings and doesn't automatically switch to the ear piece. You will hear voiceover in your recordings, and the Magic Tap works for playing or recording, even from the lock screen. These are features I specifically requested that were implemented for us in this build.
The ability to change quality with a button that toggles through low medium and high right on the main screen along with an estimate of the time available for recording on your device is very cool! and the ability to move through a recording with a slider is also nice. It's a nice compromise between simple and deep. One surprise is the orfan recordings button under settings that gives you the ability to recover a recording from the cloud by date if it didn't save properly. I also appreciated not having to choose to save a recording. Options appear on the rotor to preview your recording, share it, change the name, or "evict it from your device" and store it in the cloud. Not all of the options are obvious, so keep playing. No ability to append to or mark up a recording yet. Still a great app, especially with the automatic recording feature.

This app has gone through the most drastic improvement of all my apps - I think it's going to be special for many people. My favourite aspect is the extra sounds that play exclusively when VoiceOver is running, like when you record/pause and when a download completes - it's really cool hearing it when you use magic tap from the app or even from the lock screen.
I can finally say that all four of my apps are now accessible with VoiceOver. My next one will be as accessible as possible right from the launch.

Thank you for putting in the effort to make this app such a pleasure to use with voice over.
Does the app also record voiceover so you can record demos on how to use an app?
I specifically requested that the app would keep the defaulted audio source. So it will pick up VO unless u use headphones. The developer happily made that change.
Yes, as Reginald said it will pick up VoiceOver unless you have headphones plugged in
Thanks, I like it, I think it's better than the voice memos app that comes with the phone.
I use this app to record my choir part when I go to rehearsals once a week. It is much better than the Olympus recorder which I used to use which made a constant beeping sound when it was paused. Given that I only want to record my part or at times when the whole choir is singing, this got quite distracting and annoying. However, what is magic tap? And is there a way of remotely recording without having the phone anywhere near you? I don't particularly wish to hear my voice above everyone else. LOL
Hi Kerry. Magic tap is a VoiceOver gesture supported my many apps that functions as a toggle: double-tap with two fingers to start and pause the recording.
No remote recording yet.
