Description of App

Word Train! is a fun, educational game for all ages! With both single player and multiplayer modes, Word Train! can be played anywhere, anytime!

Word Train! is played by stringing letters together until they eventually make a word. Two players take turns adding letters to the train, and the first player to complete a dictionary word (three letters or longer) loses. The object is to keep the train going!

Play against the iDevice in Single Player mode for practice, or play with people around the world! Using Game Center, you can invite friends, enemies, or complete strangers to play. You can play many games at once, and you'll be notified when it's your turn.

Think you're the best Word Train! player in the world? Multiplayer wins are tallied in the Leaderboard and the top players are shown.

Earn achievements in Word Train! and compare scores with your friends!

Word Train! is a great way for anyone to learn spelling and new vocabulary words. When a game is over, if you don't know the word that's been completed, you can tap the Look It Up button and use the device's built-in dictionary to learn a new word!

And there's even more good news… Word Train! is FREE!!! Download and play and you'll be hooked instantly. Enjoy!

Accessibility Comments

The app is quite accessible; however, since VoiceOver can't read the letters on the train, it's unusable.

VoiceOver Performance

VoiceOver reads most page elements.

Button Labeling

Most buttons are clearly labeled.

Usability

Some parts of the app are accessible with VoiceOver, but not enough to make it usable.

Other Comments

The app has a clean interface, but since we can't get VoiceOver to read the Train area along with the letters which get added to the train, it's virtually unusable. The only unlabeled button in the app opens a dialog which displays a brief tutorial along with a setting for disabling or enabling the game's accompanying sounds.
