Description of App
Pyramid 13 is a clean and simple version of the popular pyramid solitaire game. Pyramid is easy to learn and quick to play.
Match pairs of cards adding up to 13 and see how many points you can accumulate. Keep increasing your score until you are unable to clear all of the cards in the pyramid.
You can customize the game by playing with your choice of three different card styles:
* Traditional suited cards with ace through king
* Color-coded cards numbered 1-13
* Geeky hexadecimal and binary
Personalize the card backs with your favorite color or a favorite photo.
Customize the background using the high-quality included backgrounds, or select up to three of your own photos to use as custom backgrounds. You can even randomize the backgrounds, giving you a new look with each pyramid played!
Game Center support is provided so you can compare your high scores with those of your friends and everyone else playing the game. There are several achievements available as well, ranging from straightforward to difficult.

seems fully accessible with VoiceOver. To pair the cards just double tap each card to pair it, then when you have paired two cards that add up to 13 they are automatically removed and a sound is played.
I didn't discover this game, I must give credit to Brook for mentioning this app in a forum topic, it didn't seem to be listed in the app directory when I searched, so thought I would add it. Note that this accessible version is sold buy InfinitApps so any other apps you come across that have a similar name are not the app this entry refers to.

I love this simple, fun, and fast-paced game. Easy to learn andno complaints about the interface. Recommend this if you like solitaire games.
Hi! Having read this App Directory entry for Pyramid 13, I was glad to know that it is accessible, as I play a similar solitaire game on my PC which I love. For that reason, I downloaded Pyramid 13 on to my iPhone 4S, where it works excellently. The IOS version of this game is just as good as the one I have for Windows, and the interface of this IOS Pyramid solitaire game is very easy to cope with. It's great that we can even change settings in the middle of a game: my first game started with numbered cards, but I wanted them to show up as cards from suits, such as "ace of diamonds" or whatever, and changing that setting quickly during the game worked brilliantly. Great to have another accessible card game to add to my collection, and also great to have another solitaire game too, even though I like playing some other games against other people through IOS!
I love this game! I've never been able to figure out how to play the standard version of solitaire where one has to match alternating colors to put the cards in sequential order. This game is fabulous, because all I need to do is add to 13. It's my new IOS addiction. :)
its quite fun, good job I spotted this mentioned in the forum topic as hadn't come across it before, it goes to show why we need the community to create app entries, as if I hadn't come across mention of it who knows when we might have got an entry for this.
I also love this card game. I'm not much of a card playing person because I've never got the hang of how to play most of them but this one is very easy and addicting.
You're not kidding on the fact this game is addicting. In the past, I'd only managed to clear 2 or 3 pyramids at the most. Somehow, last night, I cleared 5, got my score up over 4000, and couldn't stop playing!
I also downloaded Pyramid 13 but am I missing something? I don't have a waste pile or anywhere to store cards so I can use a strategy to add up to 13? I see the leaderboard has people's scores well into the thousands, but by just making 13 from the cards that show up, how can one ever improve on how they play it? I just don't seem to be able to find any way to be strategic in this game, so am not sure how you can improve on ones score since it seems like you just depend on whatever comes up? If anyone could just explain a little, or do you just keep depending on luck to get a higher score?
As far as I can tell, being a keen Pyramid 13 player on IOS myself since I found out about its existence from this App Directory entry, it seems to be pure luck whether you can get combinations of cards which add up to 13 or not: however, I assume that, when the button allowing you to do a second pass appears on your screen, that may be the equivalent of bringing cards back from the waste pile to re-use them, even though you don't see any waste pile in this version of the game, not with VoiceOver anyway.
I downloaded this game but it seems to be based on luck with VoiceOver. I showed it to a sighted person and they advised that they can see all rows of cards whereas I can only get go to read the top cards this means you can't look down the list when you have two choices of cards adding up to 13 or know if you can make a pair with the top card and the one belo as mentioned in the instructions any work arounds
I tired to pay this game on IOS eight. Only the first two cards are read, and you can't pick a new card or access the buttons.
I also noticed the bug where the card deck and buttons won't show up in iOS 8 while it was still in beta. This happens on both an iPhone 5s and my new 6 but funnily enough, not on my iPad mini with the 8 gold master. Can someone confirm if this happens on a 4s or just 5 and newer? Wondering if it's an issue with the way apps are being scaled and worth contacting the developer about. really quite a bummer since I'm pretty sure this would be my go to spare time game if it worked properly on my phone the way it does on my iPad.
I very unfortunately upgraded to 8.0 as well. Yes, I have also noticed Pyramid 13 is now unplayable, using my IPhone 5. Only 1 card is heard at any time and all the choices for even the face down card are gone. Is too bad because it is the only game I have noticed has become unplayable. Hopefully it can be fixed as soon as possible.
Has anyone ever contacted the developer for this game before? Looks like it never was updated since the time the five was released. Think it is a zombie app?
This is a great game and very addictive. Have cleared three pyramids in one game so far so I guess a lot of luck is involved which makes the game more appealing. I haven't upgraded to iOS8 yet but I hope the problems get sorted for those who have already done so.
Some of you may already be aware of this but for those who are not, I have a little tip for you. When you have completed a pyramid, make sure you finish the remaining cards before starting your next one if the face down card option is being shown. If you get another pair, there are more points to be had!
Good morning fellow Pyramid 13 players. Just wanted to let you know that I have just written to infinitapps regarding the broken game. I am having the same problems as others have mentioned on this forum. Hopefully this will be repaired soon.
Awesome sauce Roxanne! Thanks! I tweeted them and if you wrote them also, then we have a solid user base. Let's hope they take it and run with it. :)
Here is the response I received from the developer:
"Yes, Pyramid 13 is broken for all users when run on iOS 8. Sorry about that.
It looks like Apple changed something that affects apps that were not updated for the 4-inch screen size, which is what caused this problem. I’ll be working on an update soon which should be available in a few weeks (depending on how long the Apple App Review process takes).
Just a little patience and we'll have it back again.
Now that I have an iPhone 6 with IOS 8.0.2 on it, I have also joined the ranks of those disappointed people who can't play Pyramid 13 any more. However, it's good to have read the post just before this one, saying that an update to Pyramid 13, to fix whatever stops it from working properly on IOS 8, is on its way. I definitely look forward to the day I can play this game again, as I really enjoyed it right up to my last day on IOS 7.
Got in touch with the developer of the game. I have been told that IOS 8 has broken the game for everyone. That includes sighted persons and blind alike. The developer is working on a fix as quickly as possible. A fix is on the way as soon as it is working again and Apple releases the game onto the App store.
It is well worth the hours of fun I have been having with it on my iPad with IO"S 7.
Just put IOS 8.1 on iPhone 6.
Installed Pyramid 13 and it apparently works.
