Hi Chanelle, the number on your Sim isn't the same as the serial number of
the phone I'm afraid. I'm not aware of a way to get the Sim number other
than to have someone physically read it.

Hi, can someone recommend some accessible iTunes alternatives for the PC?
I'm interested in a means to transfer music, files, ringtones, etc. without
going through iTunes, if that's possible. Thanks so much in advance.--Joe

Hello list,
The subject is basically my question. I had to order a new iPhone recently since my 4S was stolen. My husband and I purchased the new iPhone since his was upgrade eligible. I want to use my old phone number on his new phone. Someone from AT&T said that it would work, but I would need to call AT&t with the sim card number. Is the SIM card number the same as the serial number? Can it be found on the phone? I purchased the phone from the Apple website, and the invoice lists a serial number. Could the SIM card number be listed as something else?

As far as I know there isn't an Itunes alternative, let alone an accessible
one.

Cheers

Hi All,

I've been using my apple bluetooth keyboard with my iPhone 3GS, and now 4S, for 2 years.

I've just purchased an iPad.

Is there an easy way to switch the apple bt keyboard back and forth from the iPhone to the iPad, and vice versa?

Do I need to buy another bt keyboard for the iPad?

Hello,

I prefer Prizmo. It has a very steep learning curve, but if you make it through the learning, Prizmo works quite well. OCR works on an iPhone 4 or higher and the latest iPad. Nothing else has a good enough camera. The iPad would probably be more difficult because of its size. This is merely speculation on my part as I have not seen the latest iPad yet.

Hi CJ. The initial appeal to me of touch typing was just as you
described - I liked not having to hunt for te next letter. I did well
at immediately finding the next letter I wanted. Unfortunately though,
I seem to be missing the letter on the first try more often now than I
used to. I'm also intrigued by the thumb thing. Will try that when

Yes, it will kick in eventually. I have no idea why it seems to take a
while.

If you are actually in the app, you won't be notified. The notifications
only occur when the screen is locked or you're in another app.

Kerryann, you can't ignore app updates when using official builds of
iOS, but you can restore to a previous version of an app provided that
you still have the old version of the app (the .ipa file) stored on
your computer somewhere. The idea is to delete the new version of the
app from iTunes and your iPhone. Then, re-add the old app to iTunes

What's the exact problem? I'm just curious because the categories list
doesn't seem to give me any issues at all -- does the tab not open for
you? I'd like to help if I can.

Hi Jonathan,
Yes, I meant I wasn't getting notifications from the official twitter app. I now have it open and have double checked the settings in notification center, which seem to be what I want, and push is turned on. But thus far, I'm not hearing anything.
