Accessibility Comments
This has the potential of being a very good Twitter app, but at the moment it has a number of very fundamental problems that make it unusable with VoiceOver.
The main problem is that VoiceOver does not read items on your timeline. VoiceOver does recognize each item on the timeline as an active element, which means that you can double-tap on it. Having done so, the page showing the tweet is fully accessible.
On the composition screen, the option buttons are very poorly labelled, although each button icon has a text element below it that is read. Unfortunately the icon and the text is formatted in a way that means VoiceOver announces a series of 3 poorly labelled buttons, and then reads the 3 text labels for the buttons. Elsewhere in the app, the button labelling is perfect.
When viewing a user profile, VoiceOver does not read the bio, location or website information. It does, however, correctly read everything else on the profile page.
There is a lot that I could like about this app. The layout is very clear and intuitive. It also has a good set of features. Hopefully the developers will address the accessibility problems.
