PlainText - Dropbox text editing
Description of App
For editing text on your iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch. PlainText is a simple text editor with an uncomplicated, paper-like user interface. Unlike the default Notes app, PlainText allows you to create and organize your documents in folders and sync everything with Dropbox.com.
• FOLDERS keep your documents organized.
• PAPER-LIKE INTERFACE keeps the focus on your text.
• DROPBOX SYNC means your documents are always available.
“A truly great example of how iPad apps should be written. PlainText is simple, uncluttered, and very pretty. It’s a lovely thing to be looking at for one, two, three, four hours while you’re trying to write something.”

#1 Info regarding the iPad version
I have downloaded this for the iPad 2. The button issue does not exist in this version. The buttons are either labeled normally or they are labeled in such a way that you know what the button is for. Also please be aware that UTF8 encoding is required in order for this app to read text files. I have had to open up several files within the windows Notepad and save them as UTF8 encoded files for them to be readable. Otherwise, the app is absolutely perfect for reading and writing notes through dropbox.
