Description of App

Did you ever want to learn morse code?

Here is your chance to learn it in a very short amount of time. The buttons are all in alphabetical order making it easy to remember which morse code corresponds to what letter.

Press any of the buttons to be reminded of the character that the morse code corresponds to. The button press will also result in an audio file being played of the morse code.

Want to make a game out of it? Have a friend type in any of the characters and try to identify what he/she typed by simply listening to the morse code. Let's see how many characters you can recognize in a minute.

Practice your morse code skills with the 102 increasingly more difficult levels. Score 10 or more points in 30 seconds in order to advance to the next level.

  • Level 1 to 34 are Morse Code levels
  • Level 35 to 68 are Alphabet levels
  • Level 69 to 102 are Morse Code sound only levels

Accessibility Comments

This app is fully accessible with VoiceOver. All alphanumeric keys are correctly labelled, and when double-tapped play the appropriate morse code.

Visually the four keys that control operation of the app (Play, Flip, Info and Reset) are in the center of the page. Because of this layout they are mixed in among the alphanumeric keys when you navigate by swiping. A minor gripe, but one you can adjust to.

VoiceOver Performance

VoiceOver reads all page elements.

Button Labelling

All buttons are clearly labelled.

Usability

The app is fully accessible with VoiceOver, but the interface could be easier to navigate and use.
