voiceover dropping out

I've been using my new iphone since Friday and love it. Without notice though, my voiceover has suddenly begun dropping in volume when I'm typing. More I slide around on the keyboard the lower the volume becomes. Any thoughts about what setting I must have changed would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
