I am looking for any space related games that any of you know about. If they are accessible and I hope that some one can make a game in which you control a spaceship or space station. That would bee so cool. and yes hello to you all, I am new on this website so hey!

#1 Space-themed Games

Submitted by Chelsea on 7 August, 2012 - 20:15.

Hello there,

I am a fan of anything space-related as well. Welcome, and I hope you enjoy your Apple device.

As far as games, there are a few, some kind of cheesy but they all have their purpose. Unfortunately, no strategy ones that I know of, but here is the off-the-top-of-my-head list:

The Nightjar

This is by far my favorite game, but it takes some work to get it if you are in the US. Read the comments for more info. At this time, I do not know if it is plagued with the same iOS 5 related bugs as Papa Sangri was, but it is very similar in design. If you don't know about that game; very simple interface with only audio, but can get challenging. I found the Nightjar too short but very worthwhile.

Silent Space

I like this game because it is mind and finger candy. It is Simon in stereo, where you have to touch the side of the screen from which the sound came. Your phone will also vibrate at you at strategic points. The sequence of tones will increase in frequency until you miss two times in a row. For the nerd that occupies my brain at night, it relaxes me and helps me go to sleep, lol.

Audio Invaders:

In my opinion and running an iPhone 4, this app needs a bit more work, but the developer is very responsive to people who use VO. I find the "fire" button too small, but that is coming in a future update.

I hope this was helpful and you will enjoy these games. Any questions, just hit reply.

#3 Updated Progress with the Nightjar

Submitted by Chelsea on 9 August, 2012 - 15:31.

After some cajoling with iTunes, I was able to redownload it onto my phone. The trick is to authorize this computer again for the UK store. Only a pain if you have many computers linked to your single account, because iTunes counts it as one authorization even though it's a different Apple Id. Weird.

Anyway, no iOs 5 bugs to report. Yay! Playing as contentedly and creepy as ever.
