Accessibility Comments

This app has a few minor issues and quirks, but for the most part is very accessible.

The only significant issue that I have found so far is when viewing the list of topics in a forum. As you swipe through the list, VoiceOver announces the information for each topic in reverse order. So, in the case of one forum that I use, VoiceOver will read the following: "Replies 7, Views 350, Topic Title". This is not a major problem, but one that is irritating enough to make me hope that the developer can correct it.

Other than this, there are a couple of poorly labelled buttons, but both are easy to figure out by simply tapping on them (one is for settings, the other refreshes the page).

The only other issue I have encountered so far is when viewing the list of my forums. Visually an icon is displayed beside any forum that you are currently logged in to. VoiceOver does not recognize this icon, so you can only determine your login status by double-tapping on the 'more' button (that is beside the forum name) and seeing if one of the options is login or logout.

The help section of the app is particularly useful, and will certainly help you with finding your way around the app.

I have tried what seems like every other forum app, and none come close to the accessibility of bitBulletin. The app has a few issues not related to accessibility (for instance I got a few error messages when trying to view some forum posts), but for an early release the app looks very promising.

VoiceOver Performance

VoiceOver reads all page elements.

Button Labeling

Most buttons are clearly labeled.

Usability

The app is fully accessible with VoiceOver, but the interface could be easier to navigate and use.
