Description of App

Shop our complete grocery and selected Amazon.com aisles, choose home delivery times, view past purchases and place your order quickly and easily. Enjoy convenient ways to shop for groceries, including search and browse, barcode scanning and expert picks.

Note: This app is intended for use by customers receiving deliveries in the Seattle metropolitan area. All purchases made on AmazonFresh are routed through Amazon's secure servers just as they are on the Web. Prices are in U.S. dollars.

Accessibility Comments

This app runs the full range of accessibility experiences on the iPhone with VoiceOver. Most areas are clearly named and understandable. Others have the typical understandable but obviously no attention given naming. For example the button to increase the number of an item in your shopping cart is read by VoiceOver as "Icon PlusButton". Finally some objects have no names. Four tabs at the bottom of the screen as an example are all missing any names. Only tapping on the tabs and exploration of the resulting content will let you know what they are for. When viewing individual products, images of the various products have long names reflecting the graphic file of the image, which is generally a long string of numbers and letters. Product descriptions are readable with VoiceOver.

Most buttons are clearly labeled.

Usability

Some parts of the app are accessible with VoiceOver, but not enough to make it usable.

#1 Amazon Fresh Has Regressed Acessibility

The most recent update to this app has regressed accessibility to the point that the app is not really usable. Isles and products now get generic names like isle title and product title.
