Description of App
"A life-changing application, one that makes listening to music like nothing you have ever experienced" - Westword
"StagePass is your sure ticket to an incredible listening experience" - AppModo
StagePass is an incredible new way to experience your music. Listen to any of your music as if you are sitting in the audience at any of the included world class venues. StagePass recreates all the subtle nuances of each venue in rich three dimensional sound using state of the art spatial audio processing.
StagePass is the culmination of two years of breakthrough developments in binaural acoustic measurement. Using a custom designed binaural microphone, StagePass is able to achieve unprecedented localization, soundstage, imaging, and clarity in recreating the acoustics of venues. Put your headphones on and visualize each space's expanse, textures, the stage in front of you, and be taken away by the music.
Design your own experience. Listen to your favorite local artists rock out at large theaters and concert halls. Take the Rock Stars back to their roots on the small club circuit. The possibilities are endless.
Our team is on the road, in the venues, capturing the sweet spots in every room so you always have the best seat in the house. We will continue to add the greatest venues as we capture them.

Accessibility Comments
there is an unlabelled button by the side of each venue which brings up more info about it. However, not a lot on this screen can be read by VoiceOver apart from the Venue's website address.
Other than that, you'll have no problem using this app.

Other Comments
I was quite sceptical on reading the description. but after putting StagePass through it's paces, I can say that it really does do what it says on the tin. It really puts the music out of your head and into the space around you. Either directly to the frunt, to the side, or even behind you depending on the preset selected.
After looking up some of the venues on YouTube, I think the emulations are as accurate as they claim.
I wouldn't use it a lot as convolution reverb effects are quite processor intensive, so I can see it draining the battery quickly.

#1 Buttons
Most buttons are clearly labelled. There is a button next to each venue which is unlabelled but when clicked, gives you info about the venue.
#2 Re: Buttons
Oops, you're right. Thanks for reminding me about that. Just going to amend the entry.
#3 Stage Pass
This is a great app, particularly those using it to listen to studio albums, where the effect is quite stunning. Although I live near London, I have been to a couple of the venues in New York and from what I can remember, the app makes it quite realistic.
However, I know it's difficult for app designers that are located in the States but venues in the UK might add something to this app. Perhaps places like the O2 and Hammersmith Odeon in London and the Corn Exchange in Cambridge. even Wembley creates a great sound for live bands.
#4 Re: StagePass
yes, That would be excellent if they included some venues from over here.
#5 I think this is a great app.
I think this is a great app. To be honest when I first saw this post I thought that for sure this app wouldn't work, but I saw it was free and decided to install it. The only thing I don't like about it is that in the equalizer Voiceover doesn't tell you what your adjusting just that the percentages are adjustable. Ok, I guess there's two things. I wish the equalizer settings would remain the same when you switch to another venue in the middle of a song. But other then that, this app is wonderful and makes listening to your music collection more entertaining.
#6 Problems with app
First, just a brief note of correction. I just got this app today, and it was $0.99. I guess it started out being free but isn't now?
Second: I've noticed that if I listen to a song all the way through, without pausing it, it plays just fine. But if I have to pause it and then resume playback, it will play for a few more seconds, then automatically skip to the next song. There's not even a second of silence between the 2 songs. It just stops part-way through the current song, and immediately begins playing the next one. It really catches you off guard when it does that.
I've tried restarting the app, but that doesn't seem to fix it. Neither did deleting and redownloading the app. A friend suggested I look in the app settings, but I couldn't find a settings section anywhere. I looked both in the app itself, and in the iPhone's setting's app. No settings for StagePass.
Has anyone else had this problem? Is it a bug from the latest update? I don't know of anyone else who's had this issue.
Any suggestions or information would be appreciated.
Thanks.
#7 Updates
Thanks for pointing out the fact that it isn't free anymore! I will make those changes on here.
Well, not sure what to tell you as I do not have any issues with it myself. I am running it on my iPhone 4. Had have yet to have an issue with it.
As far as I can tell there are no settings. There is an Equalizer tab and the More tab. None of those are really for say a Settings. So I am unaware of any settings myself.
Sorry that I couldn't help you out. What device are you running it on and what IOS version are you using?

#9 Update
Well, it looks like StagePass pulled that trick where you tell someone about a problem, and then it fixes itself. I still have no idea why it was acting like that, or what fixed it, but as of right now, it's working beautifully. I guess we'll never know. I am glad it's working though. It's an awesome app.
