Great app, works really well with VoiceOver!

Just downloaded the SHOUTcast radio app and I must say I was very pleasantly surprised. Usually, anything that AOL touches puts a bad taste in my mouth but this one is surprisingly easy to use. No account is necessary, but you can connect to twitter and fb to post what you're listening to. Like other radio-related apps you're going to find some of the same stations, but that's not a problem at all. If you're a radio nut like me this app is a must-have. I was able to install it and was listening to a station in under a minute so that just shows how easy it is. Under the stations tab you'll find a search box which can be handy if you're looking for something very specific. You'll have to scrole a bit to find your results but again, not a big problem. Overall I'd say it's a great app! Works beautifully on my 4th generation iPod touch with iOS 5.1

I found the App Hard to use

I found the buttons small and hard to find. Also, I was disapointed that the music would not mute while looking for access buttons thus drowding out voice over.

Version 1.5.0

Only downside as far as I can see to this app is a small one. Before a station starts playing, you have to listen to a 30 or so second ad. Other than that, this works great. What's New in Version 1.5.0 • iPhone 5 screen size support • Miscellaneous bug fixes and updates.

skipping adds is easy

Hi. Just do a 2-finger double-tap, the same gesture you'd use to pause and unpause audio and you can skip the add. The radio station will start playing right away. I tried that once just on a hunch and it worked great.

Cool!

That is good news. I will give it a try. Also, to the user who posted a while ago that Shoutcast didn't mute for Voiceover, if they read this, they'll be glad to know that it no longer has that problem.
