Accessibility Comments

When I opened the app, the Jeopardy theme music began to play and I was asked if Jeopardy could post to my calendar. I had difficulty selecting the response, but I seem to have done that. However, I could do nothing beyond that. There didn't seem to be anything else on the screen at all. I'm a very new IPhone user and so it may be that I'm not proficient enough to use the game, but I have been successfully using many of the other apps mentioned on this site.

VoiceOver Performance

VoiceOver reads no page elements.

Button Labeling

No buttons are clearly labeled.

Usability

The app is totally inaccessible.

Other Comments

Given that at least three blind contestants have appeared on the show, I'm surprised that accessibility appears not to have been considered at all when developing this app.

#1 One thing to remember

In your post, you said: Given that at least three blind contestants have appeared on the show, I'm surprised that accessibility appears not to have been considered at all when developing this app. You have to remember, the people that actually are in charge of the Jeopardy TV gameshow are probably most likely not the ones who develop the IOS app, so saying that there were blind contestants on the show thus it should be accessible really isn't exactly the most fair observation in all honesty. I do agree, though, that it's too bad this app doesn't work, as that would have been sweet if it did!

That's a good point, Chris, which I had not considered. I would think that the folks who handle the show would have a lot to say about any product bearing its name, but you may be 100 per cent correct in your observation.
