My description:
This is the IOS version of the classic Hasbro game called Battleship. THis IOS App, like many other classic Hasbro board games, is developed by EA, Electronic Arts. As with most EA titles developed for IOS, this App is one hundred percent inaccessible to VO.

** Note: If you are looking for an accessible alternative to Hasbro / Electronic Arts' Battleship, you might want to consider the IOS game titled "Naval Combat" which is reviewed elsewhere on Applevis.
Accessibility Comments
This App is not accessible using VO. At first launch you are presented with some background music and the standard IOS keyboard. I entered "ABC" and was then presented with a pop-up Advertisement which I dismissed. Beyond that, all screen elements are hidden from VO.
I have contacted both Hasbro Consumer Affairs and Electronic Arts several times over the past year to point out the lack of access to this App, to ask that they consider adding accessibility, and to inform them of the resources available to help guide them in designing equal access into their line of simple board / grid-style games.
