TWiT Live
Description of App
The better-than-official TWiT iPhone app!
The most beautiful and simple way to watch TWiT.
- Watch TWiT Live and recorded episodes
- Join the chat room and talk to other fans
- Listen in the background
- Stay up-to-date on your favorite show's new episodes
- Get reminders before a show goes live
- See what's on now and what's up next
- Check out the entire weeks schedule at a glance
When you “favorite” a show (tapping on its heart icon), the app will check for new episodes and display them right up front on the main screen. It will look like nothing happened, but that's because you have to wait at least a week for a new episode to come out.

The layout for this app is very easy to navigate around. Upon opening up the app towards the top of the screen will provide you the information of what show is currently being played on Twit LIVE. By swiping to the right of this will take you to the Watch button. The Watch button is where you can watch the show in the video mode. Swipe again to the right is the Listen button. The Listen button allow you to listen to the show via audio. Now in the page you will find the Chat button. You can listen to the show and interact with other people on the chat board. Swipe again takes you to the Schedule button. Inside of the page show you all of the talk shows that will be on for that day. Now swiping to the right of here brings you the Download section with two tabs. Swipe right will say the Downloads. This is nothing but a header. So swipe right of this will bring you the Episodes tab. The episodes are shows that you want to be reminded about and see if there are any new shows you have missed since the last time you were in this app. Swiping to the right again brings you to the Shows tab. Now this is where you can select a Show that you want find more information about. Here you can select a show to listen and remind of the episodes tab for later retrieval.
Personally, if you are wanting just solely to listen to the show and you are going to chat with people. Then I think it is worth the price. Otherwise, if you are just wanting to listen to the shows. I would recommend in buying something like TuneIn Radio where you can find the same show that is offered here. You will just get more for the bang of a buck when you purchased something like TuneIn Radio myself.
Keep in mind that all of these shows can be downloaded with something like a Downcast app or any podcast app that allows you to enter the RSS feed for those shows.
One last thing to note. The main reason I love this app and the reason why I downloaded this app. I use this a lot for special events that I don't want to miss out. For example, anytime there is a major press announcements like Apple releasing an iPad or an iPhone. This is the app to have.

#1 Update
This is very impressive by the developer. I wrote to them a few weeks back regarding how the Voice Over did not work on portion of this app. He was very quick to respond back and lord behold the new update is out. It is now fully Voice Over friendly. Bravo!
What's New in Version 3.2
• Daylight Saving Time but fixed (schedule is back, baby).
• Initial episode download support.
#2 bug in new version of twit, update is coming!
I was originally going to write here and ask if anyone else was having a problem with the app crashing when you go to watch or listen to the live TWIT feeds, but it would appear I'm not the only one. I did everything I could think of, including removing the app, re-downloading it from the app store, rebooting my phone, etc. But it's happening for everyone so if you've updated, just hang tight and another update is on the way. The great news is that even though they've re-designed the app, it's still 100 percent usable with VoiceOver. So keep watching for that twit update and we can listen to Leo and the gang again on our iDevices. There is always the live feed on the pc and mac, so that's still very much available.
