Accessibility Comments

Most buttons are labeled gibberish. Very difficult to use.

VoiceOver Performance

VoiceOver reads most page elements.

Button Labeling

Few buttons are clearly labeled.

Usability

There are some accessibility issues with this app, but it can still be used if you are willing to tolerate these issues and learn how to work around them.

Other Comments

There are literally hundreds of gibberish buttons that represent movies or shows. You could take the time to relabel these button if you wish but I only find this a waste of your time. If you randomly double tap on one of those gibberish buttons you will be able to find out what movies you have selected. Thus, can be turned around to relabel. So watching the movie isn't impossible because once you have selected a movie or show. You can watch it still. Just be advise that doing anything but watching the movie will be very difficult to use. Also, be advise if another update comes out. All of your hard work in relabeling those buttons will be erased and you will lose all of your hard work.

I only hope that the developers will fix this for us in future updates. So I will keep this app up to date and let you know if anything changes.

The new v3.0.0 has now made this inaccessible. Really a darn shame as this was once most accessible and great to use.

#2 It used to be this app had

Submitted by Juan Avila on 19 August, 2012 - 05:10.

It used to be this app had the title of the movie with the rating and the length of it. I wouldn't call this app inaccessible, because if you click on the gibberish of each movie, like 654ghkl; you get the actual movies, and you will actually get the name of the movie along with the usual play button plus information about the movie. What I was doing to make the app on my phone more accessible, is after I know what the movie is, I scrubbed two fingers on the screen to go back, and label the weird gibberish representing each movie. this is done by double tapping with two fingers and holding onto the screen, here a weird sound indicating that I must label the element. I delete the weird gibberish written there, and write the actual title of the movie. This is very helpful, to do it for at least 10 movies. But who has the time to label all of the movies on this app. They must make it more accessible to us. They don't think that blind people actually watch TV like everybody else!

#3 Jibberish

Yes, I suppose you could take the time to relabel all of those moves and shows if you want. However, be advise when an update comes out for this app that all of your hard work will only be erased.

So I admit it can be used if you really want to figure out everyone of those gibberish buttons but it is very close in being borderline of being usable.

So I will make the proper changes above based on our discussion.

#4 Speaking of labeling

Submitted by Sean Terry on 19 August, 2012 - 13:16.

Speaking of labeling elements, I wish there was a way that they could be a share point exchange for all iOS voiceover users to give the sheriff the labels that people have made for certain elements in certain applications.

#5 Crackle

Submitted by marcus vinicios on 9 November, 2012 - 18:24.

Actually this problem is very annoying! The Crackle is a very good service, but they should consider that the blind do not use Smartphones, Tablets or don't watch television...
We will do everything possible to correct this problem. I have contacted. Help me too, please! We will contact them via email, Twitter, Facebook...
I found an email address to contact with them, but I'm not sure if this address is valid. But I sent an email to them and got no error message. Suppose it is working.

Send Tweets to the Crackle reporting the problem:
